Sand Media Filter
Sand media filters are generally round or oval shaped tanks standing in different heights / diameters and filled with silica sand. Most units have a multi-port valve either a top the tank or off to one side and high rate filters will have the valve manifold.
Water from the swimming pool is pushed directly from the pump into the valve of the sand filter. The sand in a pool sand filter (silica sand) is specially graded to trap particles. The only regular maintenance required for a sand pool filter is a quick backwash cleaning as required. A variety of filters and filter media offers the right solution for every pool.
Multiport Valves and Valve Manifolds
Sand filters use a multiport valve or valve manifold primarily to help clean or backflush the filter media. A typical multiport valve has 7 settings: filter, backwash, rinse, waste, closed, recirculate, and winter. The operation manual explains the function of these setting and shows how they circulate water in a typical sand filter.
We offer a comprehensive range of accessories to aid the use of its residential and commercial sand filters whether with multiport valve or valve manifold, either manual or fully automated, side mount or top mount with Pressure Gauges to monitor the filter’s operating pressure.
